Staying at IslandWood

TJ and Kate's venue IslandWood accommodates on site lodging for all guests. Please book your room through this link: https://goldenring-begg-wedding.eventbrite.com/. We’re so excited to be hosting our wedding weekend at IslandWood on Bainbridge Island. Once you take the ferry from downtown Seattle, everything else is taken care of for you. From the welcome dinner on Friday through Sunday brunch, every meal will be provided—crafted with local ingredients by IslandWood’s chef. All dietary needs will be accommodated, and we promise the food is some of the best in the region. We hope most of our guests will stay on-site in IslandWood’s four cozy lodges. Each lodge features:- Spacious great rooms with fireplaces and comfy seating—perfect for gathering, games, or relaxing- Private rooms with en-suite bathrooms Between celebrations, you’ll be able to enjoy the trails, treehouses, suspension bridges, nature walks, and peaceful surroundings. Staying at <a href="https://islandwood.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">IslandWood</a> allows us to keep all of our loved ones together in one place, which means more time to connect and celebrate. If you’d prefer to stay elsewhere on Bainbridge, Bainbridge has a variety of hotels and AirBnBs.

TJ&nbsp;and&nbsp;Kate&nbsp;have&nbsp;arranged&nbsp;a&nbsp;shuttle&nbsp;service&nbsp;from&nbsp;Lux&nbsp;Ride&nbsp;Pro&nbsp;to&nbsp;take&nbsp;guests&nbsp;from&nbsp;the&nbsp;Bainbridge&nbsp;Ferry&nbsp;Terminal&nbsp;to&nbsp;IslandWood&nbsp;from&nbsp;4:25PM&nbsp;to&nbsp;8PM&nbsp;on&nbsp;Friday&nbsp;and&nbsp;from&nbsp;IslandWood&nbsp;to&nbsp;the&nbsp;ferry&nbsp;terminal&nbsp;from&nbsp;8AM&nbsp;to&nbsp;11AM&nbsp;on&nbsp;Sunday.&nbsp;There&nbsp;will&nbsp;be&nbsp;two&nbsp;shuttles&nbsp;making&nbsp;trips&nbsp;between&nbsp;IslandWood&nbsp;and&nbsp;Bainbridge&nbsp;ferry&nbsp;terminal.&nbsp;Please&nbsp;reach&nbsp;out&nbsp;to&nbsp;Emma&nbsp;Kauzmann&nbsp;at&nbsp;970-631-6644&nbsp;if&nbsp;you&nbsp;run&nbsp;into&nbsp;any&nbsp;issues&nbsp;finding&nbsp;the&nbsp;shuttles.

Getting to Bainbridge Island

From Sea-Tac Airport (Seattle-Tacoma International Airport):By Ferry (Recommended &amp; Most Scenic):From the airport, you have two options to reach the Seattle Ferry Terminal (Colman Dock, Pier 52):- By Taxi/App Based Ride Share (ABRS): About 20-30 minutes from the airport. Taxis are much more affordable and faster from the airport than ABRS options.- Car-Free: Take the Link Light Rail from the airport to downtown Seattle (about 40 minutes). You can buy a one-time ticket at the station or use the TransitGo app. From the Pioneer Square stop, it’s a short walk to the ferry terminal.Drive or walk onto the Bainbridge Island ferry (35 minutes across Puget Sound, with stunning skyline views).We recommend taking the 3:50, 4:45, or 5:45 ferry. TJ and Kate have arranged a shuttle service to pick up guests arriving to Bainbridge between 4:25-8PM. Keep your eyes out for a bus or van with a “Goldenring-Begg” sign upon exiting the ferry terminal. If you take an earlier ferry and explore Bainbridge you can try to uber/lyft to IslandWood or return to the ferry terminal for the shuttle.Friday full schedule: https://wsdot.com/ferries/schedule/scheduledetailbyroute.aspx?route=sea-bi Bainbridge also has a free on-demand shuttle, <a href="https://www.kitsaptransit.com/service/routed-buses/bi-ride" rel="noopener" target="_blank">BI Ride</a> (just call when you arrive).Driving Around:For those avoiding the ferry, you can drive south from the airport and cross the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. This route takes about 2 hours, depending on traffic, and brings you onto Bainbridge from the south end.We recommend the ferry as a more relaxing and quintessential Northwest experience.
